(Eagle News) — Seven bricks containing suspected cocaine weighing more or less seven kilos were discovered at a coastal area in Mauban, Quezon on Sunday, July 7, according to the police.

The bricks of the white substance believed to be cocaine were found at the coastal area of Sitio Bulwagin Brgy. Cagsiay 1 in Mauban town, and have an estimated value of P35 million.

“The discovery of said bricks was based on the report of a concerned citizen who was then having a picnic together with his family near the coastline of said place,” said a police report of the incident.

This was at around 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

The police then responded to the report and proceeded to the area. The bricks of suspected cocaine will be brought to the Philippine National Police crime laboratory in Quezon City for further verification.
