4.4-magnitude quake jolts Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Tuesday, Aug. 13.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 51 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos at 11:30 a.m.

Depth of focus of the quake was 123 kilometers.

An instrumental intensity II was felt in General Santos, while an instrumental intensity I was felt in Tupi, South Cotabato; and in Alabel and Kiamba in Sarangani.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
