(Eagle News)–A 4.4-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Occidental early Thursday, May 23.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 1:20 a.m.

The epicenter was 146 kilometers southeast of Balut Island.

The depth of focus was 49 kilometers.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
