3.7-magnitude quake strikes off Surigao del Sur early Saturday, Aug. 21

(Eagle News)– A 3.7-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur early Saturday, Aug. 21.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 4:13 a.m.

It had its epicenter 111 kilometers northeast of Cagwait.

It was tectonic in origin.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
