3.6-magnitude quake hits Batangas

(Eagle News)–A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck Batangas on Friday, May 17.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 9 kilometers northwest of Calatagan at 8:01 a.m.

It had a depth of focus of 187 kilometers.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.
