3.0-magnitude quake hits Batangas

(Eagle News)–A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck Batangas on Monday, Aug. 19.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 18 kilometers southwest of Calatagan at 10:55 a.m.

Depth of focus was 114 kilometers.

No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.
