2 hurt in plane crash off Nasugbu, Batangas

(Eagle News)–Two people were injured after a plane crashed off Nasugbu, Batangas on Saturday, Aug. 31.

A report from the Police Regional Office 4A said the plane, a PA 23-250 Piper Aztec, driven by Eugene Avila, 65, and co-piloted by  Armando Ducat, 25, was on its way to Sangley Point, Cavite when it  experienced fuel system failure and crashed off Barangay Papaya in Nasugbu around 1 p.m.

The plane, which had come from Kuyu, Palawan, submerged 17 meters deep below sea level.

The pilots, who sustained  minor injuries, were rescued by the local fishermen and were brought to Jabez Medical Center for medical treatment.
