(Eagle News) — Two members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) were killed while two soldiers were injured in an encounter between soldiers in Mindanao on Monday, April 9.
Captain Arvin Encinas, spokesman of the 6th Infantry Division, said on Wednesday, April 11, that they were still verifying the identities of those killed in the operations that targeted the Bungos faction in Barangay Pamalian and Barangay Pagatin in Shariff Saydona Mustapha, Maguindanao.
Encina said that the 2nd Mechanized Infantry Battalion confiscated high powered firearms during the two-day operations that started on Sunday, April 9.
