2.5-magnitude quake hits Leyte

A 2.5-magnitude quake struck Leyte on Sunday, March 17.

(Eagle News)–A 2.5-magnitude earthquake hit Leyte on Sunday, March 17.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake struck 8 kilometers southeast of Leyte at 10 a.m.

The quake, of tectonic origin, had a depth of focus of 7 kilometers.

No damage nor aftershocks were expected.
