Two earthquakes hit Sarangani

(Eagle News) — Two earthquakes jolted Sarangani, Davao Occidental early Tuesday, Jan. 22, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.

The first earthquake, a 5.1-magnitude one, struck at 12:47 a.m.

Its epicenter, PHIVOLCS said, was located 249 kilometers southeast of Sarangani.

A magnitude 4.1 quake hit the province an hour later, PHIVOLCS said.

It said the epicenter of the second earthquake was located 267 kilometers southeast of Sarangani.

PHIVOLCS said both earthquakes were tectonic in origin.

It said there were no injuries nor damage to property reported.
