PNP chief conducts early inspection of bus terminals; says PNP on full alert this vacation season

(Eagle News) – Philippine National Police chief Director General Ronald Dela Rosa inspected bus terminals on Friday morning, March 23, in preparation for the surge of passengers who will travel to the provinces for the long vacation next week.

The PNP chief said that there will also be physical check-up of in the various terminals, and that security will be tightened even for those entering malls and churches.

“Magkakaroon rin ng intelligence operations sa palibot ng ating mga operatives,” he told reporters.
He reminded all policemen to be alert, especially this travel season.

During his inspection of bus terminals, he even boarded a bus and talked with the driver and passengers.

Dela Rosa said that the whole PNP remains on full alert, even as he downplayed alleged threats from terrorist groups.

He said they have not monitored any threats coming from these terrorist groups, but still reminded the public to be observant and alert, and to report any unsual activity to the proper authorities. (Mar Gabriel, Eagle News Service)
