Former PCSO head Uriarte acquitted in P366-million plunder case

(Eagle News) — The Sandiganbayan has acquitted the last remaining accused of plunder in the P366-million Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office fund mess.

In acquitting former PCSO general manager Rosario Uriarte, the anti-graft court said in its May 11 decision that the prosecution “has not adduced any new or compelling evidence to warrant a finding different from what has already been rendered by the Supreme Court.”

Earlier,  former PCSO officials  Raymundo Roquero, Manuel Morato, Jose Taruc, and Reynaldo Villar, were acquitted by the Sandiganbayan.

Also acquitted was former President Gloria Mcapagal-Arroyo.
