Driver of SUV with plate number “8” in viral road rage videos nabbed

The man who was seen punching the driver of the red vehicle in this video uploaded on the Dash Cam Diaries Philippines Facebook account was identified by police as Jojo Valerio. Velrio was nabbed in Tarlac on Tuesday, Nov. 13.

(Eagle News) — Authorities on Tuesday, Nov. 14, arrested the man behind two road rage incidents–one in Quezon City and later in Pampanga.

The police identified the suspect who was driving a sport utility vehicle with the plate number “8”–given to members of the House of Representatives— as Jojo Valerio.

The SUV had harassed a motorist who had overtaken him on Congressional Ave. in Quezon City over the weekend.

A day later, a man identified as Valerio was seen punching the driver of a red vehicle in Angeles City, Pampanga in another viral video.

Valerio, a member of a band, was arrested in a bar in Tarlac City, after the victim in the second road rage incident positively identified him as the man who hit him.

The viral videos had prompted  Pampanga Rep. Carmelo Jon B Lazatin II to deny the vehicle was his.
