At least five injured in Manila fire

(Eagle News)—–At least five people   were injured after a fire gutted a residential area in Manila on Friday, April 27.

The fire in Oroquieta St. corner Doroteo Jose in Sta. Cruz began around 7 p.m.

A Task Force Bravo alarm was immediately hoisted over the blaze, which ended up spreading quickly to adjacent structures.

Around 200 houses were left destroyed by the fire, leaving around 500 families homeless.

During the fire, the bridge connecting the LRT 1 Doroteo Jose station with the LRT 2 Recto station and the north entrance of Recto station were closed.
