As of 10 a.m., police estimates 25,000 people at the INC’s “Lingap Laban sa Kahirapan” in Manila




(Eagle News) — The Manila Police district reported that crowd estimates at the Quirino Grandstand and surrounding areas where the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) is conducting its “Lingap Laban sa Kahirapan” or Aid to Fight Poverty where free medical and dental services are being offered to the public for free.

The MPD is also helping secure the area together with members of the INC’s SCAN International members.

The number of guests and other attendees, including INC members who came from Metro Manila and other surrounding districts, numbered to at least 25,000 as of 10 a.m., but the number continues to swell even amid the rains.

MPD Deputy Director for Administration, Police Senior Supt. Mar Pedroso, said that around 500 police personnel are helping to secure the venue of the INC’s “Aid to Fight Poverty” at the Quirino Grandstand.

There are also civilian personnel assigned in the area to monitor the proceedings and other policemen assigned to guide motorists in the area.   (Eagle News Service)
