MANILA, Philippines (Eagle News) — Classes from pre-school to college have been suspended on Friday in various areas due to the heavy monsoon rains brought by typhoon “Butchoy” (international name: Nepartak). The following areas and schools have announced the cancellation of classes for Friday, as of 11:30 a.m.:

(Eagle News) — Typhoon “Butchoy” (International Name: Nepartak) has intensified and maintained its direction, state weather bureau Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical And Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Wednesday morning. The center of “Butchoy” was last eyed at 860 km east of Calayan, Cagayan.
