DOT gets new spokesperson
(Eagle News) — The Department of Tourism has a new spokesperson. Newly installed Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat assigned Benito Bengzon to the post, in department order No. 2018-38 issued on May 18. Bengzon is the current undersecretary for tourism development planning. “This order shall take effect immediately and remain valid unless subsequently amended and/or revoked,” Puyat said. Puyat replaced Wanda Teo, who resigned over a P60-million advertisement placement controversy.
Immigration bureau gets new spokesperson
(Eagle News) — The Bureau of Immigration has a new spokesperson. In a statement, the BI said immigration officer Dana Mengote-Sandoval was designated as such by immigration commissioner Jaime Morente. Mengote-Sandoval replaces Atty. Ma. Antonette Bucasas-Mangrobang, who resigned to work in the private sector. “It has been an honor and privilege to have worked with you all and I will always be grateful for your support,” Mangrobang said in a statement.

DFA to have new spokesperson

The DFA announced in a statement on Tuesday that the current spokesperson, Assistant Secretary Charles Jose, will be assuming his post as Philippine Ambassador to Malaysia on Wednesday, April 12.
