(Eagle News)—-Wednesday, Feb. 13, has been declared a special non-working holiday in Parañaque. In making the declaration in Proclamation No. 665, Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea, by authority of President Rodrigo Duterte, said it was “but fitting and proper that the people of the city..be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate” in the activities marking Parañaque’s cityhood anniversary. The proclamation was signed on Feb. 6.

(Eagle News) – Malacanang has declared May 14, the day of the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections, as a special non-working holiday. Based on the issued proclamation number 479 signed by President Rodrigo Duterte, the special non-working holiday was declared to give the public an opportunity to vote. The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has already submitted a request to the presidential office for election day to be declared a holiday.

Senate President Franklin Drilon and House Speaker Feliciano Belmonte were at the Iglesia Ni Cristo’s central office earlier this morning to personally deliver to the INC leadership joint resolution number 2, the resolution declaring July 27, 2014 as a special non-working holiday.
