QUEZON City, Philippines – In a report submitted by the court sheriff, the Sandiganbayan failed to secure the majority of the funds of Senator Ramon Revilla Jr. and his wife Lanie Mercado, with the couple’s banks reporting that they were able to close most of their bank accounts before the exposure of the pork barrel scam. The Sandiganbayan allowed Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. to undergo X-ray after he complained of foot pain.
According to constitutional experts, Senator Ramon Revilla’s voluntary surrender is a mitigating circumstance and could possibly lower his sentence, even if it is non-bailable.
The camp of the Senator Ramon Revilla Jr., will immediately take action to prevent the senator’s arrest, as they announced the move to file a motion for judicial determination of probable cause or motion for suspension of proceedings before the Sandiganbayan.
