DOT: Tourist arrivals still rising despite Marawi crisis

(Eagle News) – The number of tourists who are visiting the country continues to rise despite the ongoing crisis in Marawi City. According to Tourism Assistant Secretary Ricky Alegre, Boracay, Bohol and Palawan are the places with high tourist arrivals.  Alegre said more than 600,000 tourists visit the country every month, including Koreans, Americans and Chinese. The DOT also noted the increasing number of Chinese tourists after President Rodrigo Duterte’s state visit in China.
