4.1-magnitude earthquake strikes off Davao Oriental early Tuesday

(Eagle News)–A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck off Davao Oriental early Tuesday, May 7. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 5:18 a.m. The epicenter was 199 kilometers southeast of Governor Generoso. The depth of focus was 13 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

4.6-magnitude earthquake hits Surigao del Norte early Friday, Nov. 3

(Eagle News)–A 4.6-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Norte early Friday, Nov. 3. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake hit at 1:12 a.m. The epicenter was 23 kilometers northeast of Burgos. The depth of focus was 17 kilometers. The following linstrumental intensity was reported: Intensity I- Surigao City. Surigao del Norte No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.  

Philippines arranging repatriation of remains of OFW confirmed dead in 7.8-magnitude Turkey earthquake

(Eagle News)–The Philippine Embassy in Turkey is organizing the immediate repatriation of the body of one of the Filipinos confirmed dead in the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that struck Turkey.
