Stranded seagoing passengers now at 4,937

MANILA, July 16 (PNA) — In its 8 p.m. update, the Philippine Coast Guard announced that the number of seagoing passengers stranded by inclement weather caused by Typhoon “Glenda” has been placed at 4,937. It also added that 406 rolling cargoes, 33 vessels, and 20 bancas are still prevented from leaving ports in Southern Tagalog and the Visayas.
