The Department of Foreign Affairs is asking overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Yemen and Libya to repatriate from said countries as tensions continue to rise in both countries.
Thousands of Filipino temporary workers would be sent home this April due to the four-year rule implemented by the Canadian government. Since 2011 Canada had implemented the said law which allows temporary foreign workers (TFWS) to work for four years. Under the law, they could not return to Canada in the next four years.
