MMDA: Motorists who illegally park in M. Manila to be slapped higher fines starting today
(Eagle News)–Drivers or owners who illegally park their vehicles in Metro Manila can now expect higher fines. The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said starting today, Wednesday, Dec. 19, vehicles parked illegally will now pay P1,000 from the original fine of P200. MMDA arrests more than 100 motorists due to distracted driving
QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) – On the first day of the implementation of the Anti-Distracted Driving Law, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority caught more than 100 motorists violating the law through its non-contact apprehension policy. According to MMDA spokesperson Celine Pialogo, most of the drivers were caught texting. Their acts were captured by MMDA’s high definition traffic cameras installed along Edsa.

MMDA asks motorists to avoid Gil Puyat Avenue and Roxas Boulevard
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is asking motorists to avoid Gil Puyat Avenue and Roxas Boulevard on May 21-23 for the World Eco Forum on East Asia, which will be held at the Philippine International Convention Center or PICC.
