According to MMDA Director Tim Orbos, the policy was successful in lessening the traffic problem in Metro Manila since it was implemented. Department of Transportation spokesperson Cherie Mercado said that the wrong information about the removal of the number coding scheme spread quickly in the social media prompting the MMDA to act quickly in denying the wrong information.
