DOT: Western Visayas, top destination of foreign tourists coming in the country
KALIBO, Aklan (Eagle News) – Western Visayas remains the top destination for foreign tourists traveling to the country. According to the Department of Tourism (DOT) in Region 6, in the first six months alone, foreign tourist arrivals in the region have reached over 2 million. DOT Regional Director Helen Catalyst said that the top foreign tourists to visit Region 6 are Koreans. They are followed by the Chinese, the Taiwanese, Americans and Malaysians.
