Grade 10 should be allowed to take college entrance exams

No massive layoff of college professors – DepEd, CHED

MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Education (DepEd) and Commission on Higher Education (CHED) allayed the fears of college professors regarding the possibility of losing their jobs once the senior high school component of the K-to-12 program starts. Said government agencies stated that they have prepared financial assistance programs to aid teachers who will lose teaching loads. Solon issues wake-up call to SC regarding K-to-12 program

QUEZON City, Philippines – Gabriela representative Luz Ilagan appealed to the Supreme Court to act quickly regarding the various petitions against the implementation of the K-to-12 program. She added that the SC should immediately issue a temporary restraining order, saying that the K-to-12 program should be suspended because of the complex problems that it presents. Various groups hope for postponement of K-to-12 program

MANILA, Philippines, May 29 (Eagle News) — Various students’ , parents’ and teachers’ groups are still hoping for the postponement of the K-to-12 program since it did not undergo public consultation and is an additional burden for parents. The groups filed a 200-page petition in the Supreme Court for a temporary restraining order.
