Ikinatuwa ng mga taga Ilocos Norte ang naganap na paglilibing kay dating Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos sa Libingan ng mga Bayani. Ayon sa kanila, maraming nagawa sa bansa si Marcos noong nabubuhay pa kung kayat marapat lamang na bigyan ito ng marangal na libing. LAOAG CITY, October 19 (PIA) Governor Imee R. Marcos declared suspension of classes in all levels on October 19 due to the anticipated onslaught of super typhoon Lawin. Missing fisherman rescued after 4-day sea drift

(Eagle News)– A fisherman from Pangasinan has been rescued by other fishermen from Ilocos Norte after being alone at sea for four days. The fisherman, Joseph dela Fuente, lost contact with his co-fishers when his motor boat’s engine broke down, making him drifted away from their fleet. Ilocos Norte rocked by twin earthquakes

JULY 6 (Eagle News) — Two consecutive earthquakes shook parts of Ilocos Norte on Sunday (July 5) night. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), a 5.0 magnitude earthquake was recorded and struck the town of Batac at 8:56 PM with a depth of 40 kilometers.
