In reversal, US tech firms back bill on human trafficking

WASHINGTON, United States (AFP) — Major US tech firms reversed course Friday and endorsed a proposal in Congress which could hold website owners liable for human trafficking. Myanmar migrants abandoned by smuggler in Thai south: police

BANGKOK, Thailand (AFP) — Thai police said Saturday they were hunting for suspected human smugglers who deserted 35 Myanmar nationals in southern Thailand, a key stop on a regional trafficking route. FRENCH and Romanian authorities, supported by Europol, have dismantled an organised crime network involved in trafficking minors. During the joint operation, 4 houses in France and 10 houses in Romania were simultaneously searched by investigators.
