(Eagle News)—Work at the House of Representatives was suspended on Monday, Aug. 13, due to bad weather. Scheduled committee hearings, however, will push through. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said on Monday “Yagi” and “Leepi” will continue to enhance the southwest monsoon, bringing rains in several parts of the country.

(Eagle News) — Camarines Sur Rep. Rolando Andaya is the new majority leader of the House of Representatives. The announcement was made during the plenary session on Monday, July 30. Andaya replaces Ilocos Norte Rep. Rodolfo Farinas. Also named as acting house secretary general was Dante Roberto Maling and retired general Romeo Prestoza as sergeant at arms. Senate gets “good” satisfaction rating in SWS June survey; Cabinet, SC, House receive “moderate” marks

(Eagle News)—-The Senate was the only  government institution that had a “good” net satisfaction rating in a  survey done by the Social Weather Stations in June. According to the SWS, the +41 rating it received translates to 57 percent of people satisfied with its performance and to 17 percent  dissatisfied with it.
