COMELEC to implement election gun ban on April 14

QUEZON CITY, Philippines (Eagle News) — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will implement an election gun ban starting April 14 for the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections. According to Philippine National Police spokesperson Chief Supt. John Bulalacao, permits to carry firearms are cancelled during the campaign period from April 14 to May 21. Election gun ban still in force

QUEZON City, Philippines – The Philippine National Police reminded the public that the election gun ban is still effective. The gun ban will remain in force until June 8, which is also the end of the election period. According to the PNP, 4456 have been arrested for violating the gun ban since it was implemented last January 10.
