JUST IN: 3.9-magnitude quake hits Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Friday, Aug. 2. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 69 kilometers southeast of Sarangani at 3:22 p.m. Depth of focus was 90 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.6-magnitude quake hits Davao Oriental

(Eagle News)–A 3.6-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Oriental on Monday, July 29. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 185 kilometers southeast of Tarragona at 6:49 a.m. Depth of focus was 33 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.  

3.1-magnitude hits Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao Del Sur on Friday, July 26. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, an aftershock of the July 13 5.5-magnitude quake, hit 4 kilometers northeast of Carrascal at 2:56 a.m. Depth of focus was 1 kilometer. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.5-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Norte

(Eagle News)–A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Norte on Thursday, July 25. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 77 kilometers northeast of Burgos at 8 a.m. Depth of focus was 1 kilometer. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.5-magnitude quake hits Romblon

(Eagle News)–A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Romblon on Tuesday night. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 6 kilometers southeast of San Jose at 9:54 p.m. Depth of focus was 9 kilometers. An intensity IV was felt in Malay, Aklan, PHIVOLCS said. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.  

3.9-magnitude quake jolts Davao Occidental

(Eagle News)–A 3.9-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Saturday, July 20. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 196 kilometers southeast of Sarangani at 1:29 p.m. Depth of focus was one kilometer. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.

3.3-magnitude quake hits Surigao del Sur

(Eagle News)–A 3.3-magnitude earthquake struck Surigao del Sur early Thursday, July 18. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, an aftershock of the 5.5-magnitude quake in the province on July 13,  hit 14 kilometers southwest of Carrascal at 2:52 a.m. The quake, of tectonic origin, had a depth of focus of 5 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were recorded.    

3.0-magnitude quake hits N. Cotabato early Tuesday, July 16

(Eagle News)–A 3.0-magnitude earthquake struck North Cotabato early Tuesday, July 16. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 15 kilometers southwest of Makilala at 12:54 a.m. The quake, PHIVOLCS said, was an aftershock of the 5.6-magnitude quake that hit the province on July 9. An Intensity III was felt in Kidapawan City. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
