(Eagle News)–A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck Dinagat Islands early Thursday, October 20. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake hit at 2:48 a.m. The epicenter was six kilometers southeast of Cagdianao. The depth of focus was 111 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.

(Eagle News) — A 4.8-magnitude earthquake struck Dinagat on Thursday, the second one in a month’s time, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said. Phivolcs said the quake hit four kilometers south of Loreto (Dinagat) at 9:19 a.m. Depth of focus was pegged at 78 kilometers. PHIVOLCS said aftershocks were not expected. There is no reported damage to property. Casualties were also not reported.
A training institute in Surigao del Norte has received an-almost half-a-million-peso development grant for the upgrading of its facilities.
