Mass lay-off in Saudi Arabia, exaggerated DOLE

Philippines records lower unemployment rates

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) welcomed the result of the latest survey conducted by the Social Weather Station (SWS) that showed that the number of unemployed Filipino dropped in the last quarter of 2015. From 23.7% or 10 million Filipinos, it dropped to 21.4% or 9.1 million Filipinos. This is the lowest unemployment rate recorded by the Philippines since 2009.
