Ayon sa Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS), naitala ang pagyanig sa 65 kilometers south ng Sarangani, kaninang umaga bandang 6:59. (Eagle News)–A magnitude-5.5 quake hit Davao Occidental on Saturday, May 12, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS) said. According to PHIVOLCS, the quake struck 15 kilometers east of Malita at 4:56 a.m. The quake—tectonic in origin— had a depth of focus of 100 kilometers. An instrumental intensity III was felt in Alabel, Sarangani and in General Santos City. According to PHIVOLCS, no damage nor aftershocks were expected.

At 4:06 a.m., a 5.0-magnitude earthquake hit 169 kilometers southeast of Sarangani. Seconds later, a 4.7-magnitude one struck 123 kilometers southeast of Jose Abad Santos. (Eagle News) — A 4.1-magnitude earthquake hit Davao Occidental on Thursday morning. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the earthquake struck 186 kilometers southeast of Sarangani at 6:41 a.m. The quake was tectonic in origin. There were no aftershocks nor property damage reported.

(Eagle News) — A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck Davao Occidental on Friday. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake took place 232 kilometers south, 34° east of Sarangani at 4:56 a.m. Depth of focus was at 34 kilometers. There were no aftershocks reported.

(Eagle News) — A 3.1-magnitude earthquake struck Occidental Mindoro on Saturday afternoon. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake jolted the province at 1:54 p.m., minutes after another of a 4.5 magnitude shook Davao Occidental. Depth of focus of the second earthquake was pegged at 28 kilometers. There were no reported casualties.
