(Eagle News)—Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno is the new Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas governor. President Rodrigo Duterte himself made the appointment. Diokno replaces Nestor Espenilla, who passed away recently due to tongue cancer. Rep. Rolando Andaya has accused Diokno of being behind alleged insertions in the proposed national budget for 2019 but the Palace has stood by Diokno, noting his integrity.
