Zamboanga City (PNA) —-The military have launched pursuit operations against a group of Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) brigands who killed two soldiers in an ambush early Tuesday in the province of Sulu. Samal kidnapping victims in danger of getting killed

Suspected members of the Abu Sayyaf Group threatened that they will kill the Samal kidnapping victims if their demand of ransom payment worth Php 4 billion. Mindanao, ISIS-free

Mindanao remains ISIS-free according to Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao Governor Mujiv Hataman. He added that only the Abu Sayyaf Group and the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighers are currently found in the region but there are no ISIS members. He has already met with government officials, authorities and local government units and there are no confirmed reports of ISIS presence in the region.
