Senate asks DBM to explain lump sum in 2017 national budget

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Senator Panfilo ”Ping” Lacson is asking the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) to explain the lump sum worth Php 409 billion in the proposed 2017 national budget. Lacson said that because the lump sum was not detailed, there is a high probability of abuse on the lump sum.

No DAP in 2017 national budget – Diokno

QUEZON City, Philippines (Eagle News) — Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno guaranteed that there was no hidden Disbursement Allocation Program or DAP in the 2017 National Budget. This was in response to a question of Kabataan representative Sarah Ilago on the DAP. Diokno explained that his provisions are consonant with the decision of the Supreme Court ruling that the DAP is unconstitutional.
