PNP reports 55 more COVID-19 cases among police personnel

(Eagle News) — Fifty-five more COVID-19 cases were reported among police personnel.

According to recent Philippine National Police data, the additional cases pushed the total COVID-19 cases in the PNP to 29748.

Of these, 1073 were active.

Seventy-four additional recoveries also pushed the total recoveries, now at 28595.

The death toll among police personnel due to COVID-19 is still at 80, with no additional deaths reported.

COVID-19 vaccination of police personnel under the A4 category is ongoing.

In June, PNP Chief Guillermo Eleazar received his first COVID-19 vaccine jab.

The Department of Health has confirmed the local transmission of the Delta variant in the Philippines.
