PNP reports 156 more COVID-19 cases

(Eagle News) — Over 100 more COVID-19 cases have been reported among police personnel.

According to the Philippine National, the additional 156 cases pushed the PNP COVID-19 total to 30156.

Of these, 957 were active.

Over 100, or 115, more recoveries were also reported, pushing the PNP COVID-19 recoveries to 29117.

The PNP COVID-19 death toll is now at 82, with an additional death reported.

The Philippines’ COVID-19 vaccination is still ongoing, with members across the A1 to A5 categories being inoculated.

Police personnel are part of the A4 category.

President Rodrigo Duterte has said the police and the military should be among the priorities in the country’s COVID-19 vaccination.

In June, PNP Chief Guillermo Eleazar received his first COVID-19 vaccine dose.
