PNP reports 106 more COVID-19 cases

(Eagle News) — Over 100 more police personnel have tested positive for COVID-19.

The Philippine National Police said the 106 additional cases pushed the total to 30434.

Of these, 1,144 were active.

Forty-nine more recoveries also pushed the recovery total to 29206.

The PNP COVID-19 death toll is now at 84, with the additional two more deaths.

COVID-19 vaccination of PNP personnel is ongoing.

President Rodrigo Duterte has said the police and the military should be among the priorities in the country’s COVID-19 vaccination program, noting they are also frontliners.

PNP Chief Guillermo Eleazar received his first COVID-19 vaccine dose in June.
