(Eagle News)–A 4.2-magnitude earthquake struck off Surigao del Sur on Friday, April 8. According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, the quake struck at 1:04 p.m. The epicenter was 49 kilometers northeast of Bayabas. The depth of focus was eight kilometers. The following intensities were reported: Intensity II – Bayabas, Surigao Del Sur No damage to property nor aftershocks were reported.
