Due to their non-action regarding the reporting of “tanim-bala” related incidents, 89 members of the Aviation Security Group are now under investigation. Another aspect of the investigation is the discrepancy between the 129 cases of “tanim-bala” and the 51 cases reported by said security group. The Philippine National Police terminated 21 personnel of the PNP-Aviation Security Group due to their alleged involvement in the “tanim-bala” modus operandi. Said personnel were terminated and face administrative charges due to improper reporting of the said scam. According to Atty. Harry Roque, Jeffrey Laude’s camp is considering the possibility of filing a case against the United States security personnel guarding US Marine Lance Corporal Joseph Scott Pemberton if said security personnel continues to refuse transferring Pemberton to the New Bilibid Prison.
