President Aquino signs new laws before leaving office

QUEZON City, Philippines – Just a few days before leaving office, President Benigno S. Aquino III signed four important bills into laws. These are Republic Act 10868 or Centenarian Act of 2016 which aims to give incentives to Filipinos who reach 100 years; Republic Act 10867 or the National Bureau of Investigation Reorganization and Modernization Act; The Batanes Responsible Tourism Act; and the Mayor Hilarion Ramiro Senior Medical Center Act. COMELEC Commissioners will not participate in barangay and SK elections in October

QUEZON City, Philippines – Three of the commissioners of the Commission on Election will not participate in the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections in October. Duterte to immediately implement curfew and liquor ban

QUEZON City, Philippines – Incoming President Rodrigo Duterte said that he will immediately implement the curfew for minors once he assumes office.
