Cebu town mayor linked to illegal drug activities shot dead

(Eagle News) — A Cebu town mayor who was linked to illegal drug activities was killed after unidentified men shot him on Wednesday, Sept. 5. Ronda Mayor Mariano Blanco III was shot dead while he was sleeping in his office after midnight. Blanco died as he was being rushed to the hospital. He was stripped off his police powers after he was linked by President Rodrigo Duterte to the illegal drug trade.
