3.5-magnitude quake hits N. Samar

(Eagle News)–A 3.5-magnitude earthquake struck Northern Samar on Sunday, Nov. 24. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake, of tectonic origin, hit 46 kilometers northeast of Mapanas at 5:05 a.m. Depth of focus was 24 kilometers. No damage to property nor aftershocks were expected.  

Northeast monsoon affects Northern, Central Luzon

(Eagle News)– Expect winds in the country as the northeast monsoon affects Northern and Central Luzon. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said strong to moderate winds  are expected in Luzon. Moderate to strong coastal waters are also expected. PAGASA said Visayas and Mindanao will have light to moderate winds and slight  to moderate coastal waters.
