To further strengthen business ties with the Philippines, the Economic and Trade Office of the Israel Embassy is participating in local exhibitions this month.
In the ongoing Philippine World Building and Construction Exposition or Worldbex, the Embassy showcases Israel’s energy-efficient houses, green buildings and safe city technologies.
“Israel is regarded as an expert in technology, healthcare and agriculture. But when it comes to building products and services, Israeli companies create infrastructure, efficient energy solutions, civil engineering software and home surveillance units. Our export of building products and services is already above $3 billion and growing,” Deputy Chief of Mission Adam Michael Levene said.
“Business between our two countries is growing. Last year, it grew by 7 percent. This year, we expect it to grow by a lot more,” he added.
In the Water Philippines Expo on March 25 to 27, the Embassy will present Israel’s innovative solutions such as desalination, water management and treatment.
Filipino executives, on the other hand, will attend MEDinISRAEL on March 23 to 26, as well as the International Agricultural Exhibition and Conference or Agritech on April 28 to 30 in Tel Aviv.
Attracting visitors from 60 countries, MEDinIsrael displays medical solutions and life-saving products from 120 Israeli companies.
Agritech Israel brings together thousands of foreign visitors from more than 100 countries to interact with the leading international agriculture technology companies. Agritech Israel Exhibition, held once every three years, is one of the leading international events that showcase Israeli and international agriculture technologies. This year, Agritech Israel Conference will focus on post-harvest and food loss technologies.
“Israel is well known for its agriculture technologies. Agritech will be taking place in Israel next month where there’ll be delegation from the Philippines who will be looking at solutions in the field of horticulture, dairy, irrigation, nutrition, and post-harvest,” Levene said.
“This year, we have 540 students from agriculture colleges in the Philippines participating in 11 months agro-studies program in Israel. Their return to the Philippines to do business or take part in academia will help agriculture. The Philippines can make agriculture a business that is attractive for the young generation,” he added.
