MANILA – To promote and further strengthen the ties between the Philippines and Europe, the “Discover Central Europe” roadshow 2015 Manila leg was launched, which included a seminar hosted by officials from V4 tourism organizations and a B2B session, attracted over 100 representatives from travel agencies across the Philippines that are looking to expand their tour offerings to include the 4 central European countries. A reception to celebrate this successful project was held thereafter, where Czech Ambassador Olša expressed his hope that this could spark a more intensive tourism interaction between V4 countries and the Philippines.

The Visegrád 4 group is the alliance of the four central European countries namely the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic, Hungary, and Poland, which aims to strengthen cooperation not only among each other, but also with countries all over the world. The V4 Presidency this year is held by the Czech Republic, and among the programs being intensely implemented is the promotion of Central Europe as a viable tourist destination for countries in Southeast Asia.
