WHITE ROCK, British Columbia (Eagle News) — The iconic White Rock Pier partially collapsed following the aftermath from the windstorm in Vancouver on December 19. City officials estimate it will take several months and millions of dollars to repair.

Washed up sailboats and debris can also be seen along the shore.

Built in 1914 along the White Rock beach, the pier spans over 400 meters into the Semiahmoo Bay which leads into the Pacific Ocean. The pier attracts thousands of visitors each year with spectacular views of the San Juan Islands and stunning sunsets.

White Rock is located one hour South of Vancouver, Canada.
