Remains of OFW found in septic tank in S. Korea arrive in PHL

(Eagle News)–The remains of the Overseas Filipino Worker found in a septic tank in South Korea have arrived in the country. The plane carrying Michael Angelo Claveria’s remains arrived at 9:30 a.m. at the Iloilo International Airport, almost two months after they were found. Bohol town mayor shot dead

(Eagle News)–The mayor of a town in Bohol was shot dead on Sunday, May 27. Buenavista mayor Ronald  Tirol was shot in a cockpit in Tagbilaran reportedly by three unidentified men around 3 p.m. He was rushed to the hospital where he died. Police have yet to establish the motive. Tirol was the son of the late Buenavista Mayor Leandro Tirol and former Buenavista Mayor Elsa Tirol.

Quezon town mayor’s security escort shot dead

(Eagle News)– A security escort of Mulanay, Quezon Mayor Joselito Ojeda was gunned down early Saturday, May 26. Ruben Subia was shot dead by two men who were on board a motorcycle in Mulanay around 5 a.m., the police said. A manhunt operation is ongoing against the suspects.
